Eagle Watch

There’re back, the magnificent Bald Eagles have returned to winter in the Quad
Cities. Approximately 250 Bald Eagles return every year to the Quad Cities are
to nest and feed along the banks of the Mississippi River.

To help us understand more about the beautiful Bald Eagles, the Army Corps of
Engineers have put together a wonderful 45-minute program that explains why
the Bald Eagles return to this area, and what their habits, needs and abilities are.
To Celebrate 40 years of Bald Eagle Watching in the Quad Cities we have a special
presentation of live raptors from the Wapsi River Environmental Center

The program will take place at the

Mississippi Valley Welcome Center on
Saturday and Sunday, January 26th & 27th, 2008.
Saturday’s presentations are held at 10:00 am,
11:00 am and 12:00 pm, Sunday’s at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
